Does Facebook Advertising Work For Small Businesses?

Date

When it comes to small businesses and social media, Facebook is one of the most popular platforms for marketing. But does it work? In this article, we’ll explore the relationship between Facebook ads and small business.

1. Facebook advertising is a great way to reach a large audience, but it’s not right for every business.

Facebook advertising is one of the best ways to reach a large audience, but it’s not right for every business. It’s a great option for businesses that have a large following on social media, or if you want to build your brand’s following and don’t want to rely on word-of-mouth to do it.Some tips we’d like to share:

Focus on Cost Per Conversion rather than Cost Per Click.
It is important that your Facebook Advertising create stronger, more consistent relationships with your existing customers.

Try targeting your non-fans with your ads.
Optimise your ads so they work for your audience and not just the niche community.
Competitive Analysis

Competitive analysis is an integral part of SEO. It helps understand not only who your competitors are in your industry, but it can also help you understand which link building strategies they are using. Our post analysing the Google Anchor Text Experiments is a good example of competitive analysis.

To conduct a competitive analysis, we need a few things:
Keyword Research
Creating persona templates that you can compare against competitors
A screenshot of your website and compare it to your competitors
Keyword Charts
Competitive research tools can be a bit of a hassle, and competitive analysis tools cost money, so we’re going to touch base on one option – Site Crawl, and expand on it.

Site Crawl is a tool provided by SEOgadget that allows you to search through your site and find statistics, links, and more. It’s helpful for competitive analysis because it helps you understand which keywords you need to develop content around.
We’ll add Site Crawl into the mix a bit later on. For now let’s walk through the process of searching through your site and gathering information.

Step 1: Click on the Site Crawl Tool
When you click the Site Crawl tool, it will ask you to create a new report. Enter some keywords into the “Enter Keywords” field and click “Add Keywords”.

2. It’s possible to use Facebook ads to create a better customer experience and lead generation.

You can use Facebook ads to drive traffic to a landing page where you can capture email addresses. Once you collect email addresses, you can use Facebook ads to send people directly to your website, where they can sign up for a newsletter. This is a great way to start a relationship with small businesses.

Your goal is to show how efficient social media is as a marketing tool, and you’re giving them a reason to engage with you. Much like a good webinar marketing tactic, you reach out to people who are interested in your brand and ask if they’d be interested in learning more about what you do. If they do sign up for your newsletter, that’s a win for you.

If they do not sign up for your newsletter, then you’re increasing their chances of signing up for something else down the road.

A great way to build relationships and beat them to the punch is to build relationships with influencers in your space. Later, you can ask them to write content for your site so you can claim it as your own and gain inbound links. After you’ve built relationships and seeded content on influencers in your market, you can go back and syndicate that content to top publishers and random Twitter followers.

This is essentially a giant cold email that you send out to top/mid-level content creators. You request that they repost your content on their websites/niches to build buzz around your brand. Sure, they might not cover your content, but this is a long-term win for you.

Alternatively, you can do this through the use of social media sites. Work with influencers on Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. Once you’ve established a relationship, mention the mention in your post. In a recent post, I wrote about sharing top-level stuff that good journalists/bloggers share on Twitter. Then, when they’re ready to post it, I’ll promote their post and give them credit for sharing it.

3. There are things you can do to increase engagement with your Facebook ads and improve your return on investment (ROI).

In order to increase engagement with your Facebook ads, you can add a landing page to your Facebook ad set. The landing page should be the same as the one that appears on your Facebook ad, so that when people click on your ad, they will immediately be taken to the same landing page. Now let’s take a look at pages that your competitors are using as landing pages on their Facebook ads.Use landing pages from competitors

What does it take to stand out among your competitors? To have the best ad performance, your landing page needs to answer all of the customer’s queries. These queries should match the ones that the customer has in mind while looking for your product or service.

Facebook allows to include up to sixty percent of a user’s questions in an ad object. So, within your landing page, try to keep all those questions on one screen.

Try Adwords remarketing to your previous customers
In ad groups you can use remarketing to target people who have before visited your site, have PPC ads running, and have clicked on the ads and gone to your site.

You can use the same landing page that you used for your Facebook ad set, but try to show your previous customers 1) more ads from the same advertiser 2) a different image 3) and offer them a shorter preview of the product that they’ve just viewed.

Your future customers now have a better understanding of your company, and you will hopefully have a higher conversion rate.

Create ads that stand out
When creating your Facebook ad set, you need to pay attention to not wasting ad slots, and create ads that will stand out in Technology or Beauty category. You can find more detailed information on creating the ad set here.

4. With the right strategy, you can use Facebook ads to market your business in a cost-effective way.

Facebook ads are a great solution if you’re not able to spend a lot of money on marketing. Facebook lets you target your ads to specific groups of people, so you can get your message in front of exactly the people who are most likely to be interested in it.
